I shopped the #nsale the very first day my cardholder tier access allowed. And now I have received most of my items and overall I’m very happy with my purchases. I found my purchasing habits were different this year than in years past, probably partly due Nordstrom’s different approach to the sale and partly due my working primarily from home.
- Instead of planning to make several purchases throughout the sale as I determine which items I like/dislike from each order, I ordered everything I had my eye on, knowing good and well that I’d return a third of the items by default. I also have a budget and will return enough items to make sure I stick to that.
- Also, I completely skipped a couple of categories this year that I’ve traditionally shopped: jewelry and beauty. These categories just didn’t feel like the best way to spend my money given the fact I don’t even leave the house every day. Tops make a difference on all of my work video calls, but jewelry and beauty items just don’t have as much impact.
I purchased several blazer and cardigans, a few lounge-wear/pajama items, lots of outerwear, a few pairs of shoes along with several other items across the denim, lingerie, and home categories. And I did have a big fail – the Ugg slippers.
I’m curious to know if your buying habits have changed with this year’s sale. Leave me a comment and let me know!
